Closet Update

Last weekend, we renovated our closet for $100! It has annoyed me since we moved in and we finally make it more Grover-friendly. My side of the closet (really I occupy both sides) had 1 rack and 2 REALLY tall unreachable shelves. We removed the lowest shelf and moved the rack up higher. This allowed for space below for a shoe rack and possibly a dresser. Then we installed a tall thin bookcase for reachable shelving. Now if I can just get Sami to keep it organized.

Built-Ins

We finally got our built-in bookcases put in upstairs. They replaced the hideous doors to the attic space and will hopefully make the room more useable. We stoll need to paint them white.

Sprinkler Time

This turtle sprinkler used to be mine as a child. It leaks a little, but still does the trick on a 95 degree day. I love the screams as she gets wet.

New Playhouse

I knew Bean would love playing in a little house tent. The one's I have been scouting are $60-150! Then I found this gen at Target for $20. I snagged it. It is small, but so is she. She absolutely loves it.

More Barn Updates

The barn is basically built and painted on the inside. We still have lots of decorating to do...a rug, futon, curtains, plant stand, art, clock, coat rack, and some shelves, but we are getting there.

Barn Updates

The barn has been finished for awhile now ( well almost finished), but I am just getting around to posting pictures. We still have lots to do inside decorating wise. I would like to put in curtains, a rug, we need a futon, a clock, maybe a coat rack, install shelves, put up some art, and a plant stand.

Strawberry Pickin'

Yesterday we went to an organic, bio-dynamic strawberry farm to get our summer bounty. Bean had a blast, but more berries ended up in her belly than in her basket. We got 3 different varieties and plan on eating some now, freezing some for smoothies, making jam, and making some ice cream. Yum Yum

Baby Bath and Cookies

I got Bean a little baby bath for $4.oo yesterday. She played with it for hours!


Then we made and decorated cookies. Well, I did the work and Bean mostly sampled the goodies.
